This is the first oil painting by Loxi Sibley painted back in 1970. She won second place in an art show and after the show the news media made a joke about it and commented that they could only show it from the waist up and that's what they did.

Loxi was more interested in the Peacock Feathers and the over all colors than her attention with the likeness of Saun Connery in this oil painting. She painted this in the late 1970's.

This website displays the art work of a well know Elvis Presley portrait artist, Loxi Sibley. Her portraits of Elvis are known around the world and much sought after.

After the sale of three of her Elvis portraits, to Boxcar Enterprises which is now EPE, they had beautiful reproductions of Loxis' art work created and sold at Elvis' Concerts. The three posters later became part of "The Elvis Presley Concert Souvenir Tour Collection". The only artist at that time to have such an honor. The rest of the collection included some fantastic photos of Elvis. Col Parker had a big say in some of the locations where they, the posters, were shown.

Elvis gave several framed reproductions to Kathy Westmoreland, Ginger Alden and several of his other close friends. She was told by Ginger that Elvis loved her work. Even Col. Tom Parker was very pleased with her portrait paintings as was Vernon Presley. Her art work still is in the archives of EPE and is rotated in turn to show in the Trophy Room.

Loxi was taught the old versions of the European Method of under painting with the old masters techniques and since she use's oil paints, the canvas can take quite awhile to finish. Loxi also paints animals and wondrous landscapes that seem to take you right into the setting.

While you visit her site she would be so pleased if you have the time to sign her guest book.
